Our New Charity Status!

March 15th of 2021 was a big day for Beat The Streets Toronto.

We officially became a charity with the CRA. This marks the resolution of a two-year campaign that started with the loss of our partnership with Wrestling Canada and began as a result of our inability to clear donated funds. This is often a huge challenge for nonprofits to overcome. We are elated, we now have the ability to process donations and give tax receipts to our donors.

We would like to thank all of those who assisted in this progress process. A very special mention to Cindy Stater Drummond for all of her help, John Ewing for donating the service of his legal team, to the wonderful people that the CRA Charities Directorate Department for all of their assistance, and to Jessica who is such a valued team member for a lot of the work she put into this process. It was a true team effort.

As a result of this application, our goals have never been clearer. We are now a charity with the purpose of educating low-income youth and children in the GTA. We have now streamlined our programming as we now deliver 4 programs as efficiently as we are able. We have even adapted them to an online platform and this process has made us stronger than ever.

I would encourage everyone who sees this message to get involved, to pass the word on to their friends and families. This Beat the Streets charity is stronger than ever and we are growing at a phenomenal rate, our impacts are being felt all across the Greater Toronto Area and we have huge plans to grow. I encourage you to get involved, the future looks very bright!

In the upcoming year we will be re-engaging our previous donors, and sourcing new donors in order to help us deliver these amazing programs that we have now solidified as a result of this application. For more information on our newly reformed programs visit BTS New Programs!
