Jumpstart boosts youth empowerment: 220 GTA kids to benefit from fitness and resiliency programs

Mississauga - Beat the Streets is thrilled to announce that it has received $24,120 in funding from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Jumpstart). This generous support will enable us to deliver 11 fitness and resiliency-building programs to over 220 low-income youth, ages 10-18, across the Greater Toronto Area.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is deeply committed to ensuring that children in need have equal access to sports and recreation opportunities. With their invaluable support, Beat the Streets will create opportunities for low-income youth to build healthy bodies and minds through two impactful programs: Level Up and You Grow Girl.
Starting in October, over eight hours, participants will learn the fundamentals of boxing and kickboxing from professional athletes and coaches to improve physical skills and confidence while learning tools and strategies to promote mental health and resilience.
