Summer Job students creating a collage for new community space

Thanks to the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI) grant from the Government of Canada and Tropicana Community Services we embarked on the renovation of our office space kindly donated to us by Hammersmith Corporation.

We are at the finishing stages of this development and we expect to have it fully operational by the end of July. The renovation saw the introduction of a new wrestling/yoga/educational space, as well as a fitness room with equipment that can help strengthen bodies and minds!

Encouraging confident, resilient and active youth

Once BTS launches its community space, it will be providing employment, fitness and skill-building programs, and also a safe space for students to study or work out. In addition to fitness equipment, the SBCCI grant allowed for the purchase of laptops and tablets.

We are very excited to open this place and continue to serve and impact youth in the GTA.
