Sang Kim

BEAT THE STREETS BOARD MEMBER

Sang Kim is the CEO and Co-Founder of Rola Health Inc. Previously, Sang worked for over 22 years in Portfolio Management, Financial Planning and related experience with an Independent Wealth Management company.  Sang was also Vice President and Portfolio Manager with one of the largest banks in North America.  Sang also taught high school Math, Science, Physical and Health Education for five years in Canada.

Sang grew up as an overweight Korean boy working weekends at his parent's convenience store.  His family lived in one of the worst neighbourhoods in Scarborough. Due to his weight and Asian background, Sang was constantly bullied as a child.  This fueled him to become a four-time age-group Canadian Freestyle Wrestling Champion with the help of Doug Pound and BTS founder John Park. He has run seven full marathons and four Ironman triathlons. Sang's massive life-changing moment was surviving a horrific car accident at the age of 16.  In that moment, Sang realized how precious life is, and he vowed to live every day like his last day.

Sang holds an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Health Education and another Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Western Ontario.  As captain of the 1990 Western Wrestling University Team, Sang led his underdog team to UWO's first-ever Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union's Team Championship title.

Sang is a BTS director and Board Member of the Cauliflower Ear Club.  Sang coached wrestling for over 20 years across many age groups.  Sang starts his day with a gratitude meditation and exercise. He enjoys cycling, climbing, singing, and spending time with his three children.
