Get to know the Social Media Community Manager of WorkIt 2023!

Hi everyone! I am Jasreen Sahota, and I am so excited to be working with Beat the Streets Toronto again this year! I am 16 years old, and I am one of the Social Media Community Managers for WorkIt 2023. I can be described as outgoing and team-oriented, as I love to collaborate and work in a group. I have an interest in fields such as law and business and hope to pursue them in postsecondary and after that. I have a passion for baking, fitness, and clothing design.

I also want to thank Canada Summer Jobs and BTST for this unique opportunity! Beat the Streets Toronto is a charity that has a number of resilience-building programs that support social emotional learning. I volunteered with BTST in 2021, and it was a great experience! I learned many skills that helped and continue to help me in my personal and professional lives. Furthermore, the WorkIt teams tend to have a bond that creates a positive work environment for everyone. Overall, I am very grateful that I was able to work with BTST again!
