Empowering youth through technology: how monday.com and Canva help charities like Beat the Streets

Our mission at Beat the Streets is to provide opportunities for sports and education to low-income youth in the Greater Toronto area to encourage personal growth and development. Thanks to the generosity of companies like monday.com and Canva, who provide free subscriptions to their software for charities, we are able to build our capacity to expand our impact and reach even more youth in our community.

Streamlining Workflows with monday.com

With monday.com, we have streamlined our workflows, increased productivity, and stayed organized. This has allowed us to focus more on our core mission of empowering youth through our wrestling and academic support programs. The platform has been invaluable in helping us manage projects, track progress, and collaborate efficiently.

Creating Stunning Visual Content with Canva.com

Canva has also been an invaluable resource for us, enabling us to create stunning visual content without the need for expensive software or professional design skills. This has helped us promote our programs and events and reach a wider audience. Even youth in our employment program, Work It, have learned basic design skills thanks to Canva.com, opening up new opportunities for them in the job market.

Work It: Employment Readiness Programs for Youth

Our Work It program is designed to provide employment readiness training to youth in our community. This program teaches youth valuable skills such as resume writing, job interview preparation, and workplace communication. With the help of monday.com and Canva, we have provided even more resources and training opportunities to our Work It participants.
