Time Management

I could speak from personal experience as a student athlete it is very important to have good time management skills. Between my hours of training and hours at school, it is very crucial to be able to manage my time appropriately. Some of the ways I manage my time is the night before I plan out the next day and create a to do list starting with what I have to get done ASAP. When I’m working on a task I work without my phone and I time myself. I find that without my phone I have little to no distractions and when I time myself it’s easier to know when to take breaks. Another time managing skill that use is creating a routine, I am someone who loves and needs consistency in my life, and forming a daily routine does just that.

Benefits of time management

When you manage your time correctly there are many benefits such as;

-       Getting more done in the day

-       Being more productive 

-       create more free time

-       decreases procrastination

-       decreases stress

-       gets tasks done on time

-       ultimately achieves more

 

Time management tips

-       plan your day the night before

-       create time limits on tasks

-       do not multitask, focus in on one task at a time

-       set goals 

-       work in a distraction-free area

-       take breaks 

-       get as much done in the morning

-       create a routine

-       keep a to-do list 

-       track the amount of time spent on each task
